BOARD OF DIRECTORS GRANTS CHARTER TO SIGMA PROVISIONAL CHAPTER
Vote at Midyear Meeting Recognizes Hard Work of OSU Students Over Past Year
WASHINGTON, DC – The Board of Directors of the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho, Inc voted to grant a charter to the 31 petitioners of the Sigma Provisional Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon at their midyear meeting in Washington, DC this past weekend. The founders of the chapter at Oregon State have shown that they are dedicated to living a life of honor and making a positive impact on the Oregon State community. The Sigma Alumni Corporation & the National Office plan on presenting the charter and hosting the corresponding initiation ceremony for the chapter founders on May 18, 2013 at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Portland, OR.
The Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho was founded on May 12, 1928 and this will be the first time the Fraternity has been at Oregon State University since 1992. The Provisional Chapter submitted their 76 page petition to the National Office for consideration on March 4th, less than a year after a Group of Intent was recognized at Oregon State. This was the result of hard work by the provisional chapter as well as a strong partnership between the Sigma Alumni Corporation and the National Office that allowed for an Educational Leadership Instructor to be based out of Corvallis, OR.
