KAPPA DELTA RHO PARTNERS WITH PLAID TO DEVELOP A TOTAL MEMBER EDUCATION PROGRAM: LEGION
The Next Step in Providing Personal and Organizational Development for New and Active Members
GREENSBURG, PA – In Kappa Delta Rho’s continuing quest for developing educated gentlemen who promote human dignity, positive relationships among men, and moral excellence of the highest ideals, Kappa Delta Rho has partnered with Plaid Strategies to assist in developing an innovative total member education program called the Legion. This is a key component to the educational component of Kappa Delta Rho’s comprehensive strategic plan which was adopted two years ago.
Plaid, a professional services firm specializing in higher education and related not-for-profit organizations, will aid in an assessment of current Kappa Delta Rho educational programs and will provide an evaluation of the content based on the fraternity’s identified needs and objectives. Incorporating proven evaluation and assessment models, Plaid and Kappa Delta Rho will work together to supply a new level of instructional design focused on personal and organizational development for a total member education program. In addition, Kappa Delta Rho will incorporate Plaid’s four-year personal development curriculum, Holistics, into its remodeled educational program. Utilizing Plaid’s Learning Management System will allow streamlined online education for its members. Kappa Delta Rho will have the advantage of applying the latest online tools to stay current with its members’ growing need for consistent education throughout their collegiate careers. Plaid’s Holistics program allows new members to better understand themselves to then further emulate the values of Kappa Delta Rho.
Through the use of interactive online modules, members will gain knowledge in the following areas:
Human behavior
Understanding themselves and their relationships with others and their organization
Building a stronger organization
Management and leadership practices
Communication and motivation techniques
National President, Brian J. Stumm, Iota Beta ’92 said “Kappa Delta Rho is pleased to announce the start of our development of the Legion and to have Plaid as a partner in our ongoing efforts to bring the best and most innovative educational experiences to our members. The Legion will become a cornerstone in our efforts to strengthen and grow Kappa Delta Rho as envisioned in our strategic plan. This would not have been possible without the support and hard work of our undergraduates, volunteers and the support of our Alumni through the Kappa Delta Rho Foundation.”
