“The National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho is saddened to announce the passing of Brother Ed Curtis, Rho ’62. Please see the comments below from Scott Bradley, Zeta Beta ’99 National President and Bob Kiser, Rho ’74 Rho Alumni Board. View Ed’s obituary here.
Ed was a great supporter of KDR for the entirety of his time as a member of our Fraternity. I first met Ed in 1997 at my first National Convention and always searched him out for conversations. He was always easy to find with his rainbow suspenders. Ed worked tirelessly to get the Rho Chapter reopened at Lafayette College. Even while the chapter was closed Ed, then President of the Rho Chapter Alumni Board of Governors, made sure the Rho Alumni Scholarships were still handed out to brothers of other chapters to benefit the entire Fraternity. Ed will be greatly missed.“

“We are all saddened by the passing of Brother Ed Curtis, Rho ’62. A copy of his obituary prepared by his wife Joyce and four (4) daughters is attached.
Ed served on the Rho Chapter Alumni Board of Governors for over 35 years with most of those years as our President. During this time he provided invaluable leadership to the Chapter and was highly respected by all that that he came in contact with due to his straight forward and caring style of leadership. Ed was devoted to KDR and wished nothing more than to see Rho Chapter reactivated. Just days before Ed’s passing he worked to schedule meetings with Lafayette College officials to discuss the reactivation of the Chapter and resuming occupancy of the KDR house on campus.
We all extend our heart felt condolences to Ed’s wife, Joyce, daughters Shelley, Sarah, Jessica & Jody and related family members.”
